The house of a building contractor was targeted by miscreants and valuables worth Rs 1 lakh were burgled from Santosh Vihar Colony under Ayodhya Nagar police station area on Sunday.
Police said that the victim Chandar Singh Sisodia along with his family had gone to Bhojpur and when he returned late in the evening the valuables were found burgled. After the incident victim approached Ayodhya Nagar police and lodged a complaint regarding burglary.
The victim in his complaint stated that he along with his family had gone to Bhojpur in the afternoon and on their return late in the evening the locks of the door were found broken and on entering the house Rs 90000 cash and goods worth Rs 10000 were found burgled. The cash was kept in an almirah which was targeted by the miscreants and it suggests that the miscreants were aware of the valuables as other valuables were not disturbed in the burglary.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 454 and 380 of the IPC.
The victim works as a property developer and it is possible that the construction workers who work him were involved in the burglary as the burglary took place in a short span of time and only the almirah having the cash was targeted by the miscreants.
During the investigation neighbours have expressed ignorance over the burglary. The CCTV cameras of the area would be investigated to establish the identity of the miscreants.
