The simmering discontentment among aspirant BJD leaders over being deprived of berths in the reshuffle of the Ministry came to the fore when several senior MlAs of Jajpur district held parley at the residence of Badchana legislator Amar Prasad Satpathy on Monday.
Bari MlA Debasis Nayak told the media that at least one from the district should have been inducted into the Ministry. In the past, there were as many as three Ministers from the district, he pointed out.
Nayak said the MlAs of the district were now being questioned by their constituents as to why none of them was given a Ministerial berth, to which the former have no answer. He concluded remarking that the Ministry reshuffle “has not been undertaken in a right manner”.
Amar Satpathy said the way in which the Ministry has been reconstituted, it would result in great discontent among party cadres. Pramila Mallick, another MlA of the district, was also present.
