The Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) on Tuesday removed encroachments from different parts of the city.
Notably, various complaints against shopkeepers of the city markets were received by Mayor Malini laxman Singh Gaud. According to the complaints received, the shopkeepers create obstacles in parking spaces by putting up big hoardings and standing boards at parking lots.
Due to this, there is less space left for the parking of the vehicles. Hence, the citizens are facing problems. Mayor has asked IMC Commissioner Manish Singh to look into the matter and take strict action against it.
Following the instructions by Mayor, Singh has instructed Removal Gang to take an immediate action. Under the action, the gang removed 35 boards from Dava Bazar and seized materials loaded with two trucks. The shopkeepers and organizations or institutions had put up their boards at the parking lots, were removed with the help of Gas Cutter.
During the action Assistant Removal Officer of Removal Gang Virendra Upadhyay and Ashwin Kalyane were also present.
Meanwhile, Mayor Malini laxman Singh Gaud has asked the revenue officer Suraj Kero to speed up the revenue collection work. Following the instructions given by Mayor, IMC Commissioner Manish Singh has asked the deputy commissioners to be in the field from 2 pm and collect the revenue from their respective zones.Further, Mayor has asked the assistant revenue officers and bill collectors to begin the collection from 8 am at the respective areas. With the collection of revenue, the concerned officials have been directed to also take action against the defaulters will immediate effect.
