AAP accuses Punjab Government for implicating its MlAs in false cases

Criticising Capt Amarinder Singh-led Punjab Government for not being serious about depleting law and order situation in the State, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday accused it of falsely implicating the party leaders.

“Rather than taking correcting measures, Captain Government is busy in framing AAP leaders in bogus cases,” said AAP’s Punjab unit president and Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann.

Notably, Shiromani Akali Dal has all along been accusing the Congress Government of implicating its workers and leaders in false cases, with the party even announcing to provide legal help to such “victims”.

Mann said that the people were being killed in broad day light in State and criminals were posting videos on social media challenging police to arrest them but the police were behaving like a spectator.

He said a false case was registered against AAP MlAs in minutes even without knowing the facts.

Taking about the daylight killing of industrialist in Jaiton, Mann said that denial of police to provide security to the deceased even after repeated complaints shows that the police were working under the pressure.

He said that common people were even shying away from registering complaints with the police because of unnecessarily involvement of politicians in the working of police.

Mann said that thousands of complaints were lying pending with the police because of political pressure in the State.

“Captain Amarinder Singh is boasting about bringing industry in the State, but has failed miserably in providing security to the existing industrialists in the State,” said Mann questioning who would invest in the State if the businessmen had no security to their lives and police fails to catch the criminals.

Commenting on the absence of Capt Amarinder Singh from the State, Mann said that only God could save such State whose Home Minister had not visited the State in last four months.

Reacting sharply on implicating AAP MlA from Ropar Amarjit Singh Sandhoa in a false case, Mann said that Captain Government in State had started working on the footsteps of BJP Government at the Centre to threaten the opponents with false cases.

“AAP will not bow down with such political motivated cases and continue to raise the voice of common people,” he said.
