leading business tycoon and human rights activist Dr Nowhera Shaik has launched 'All India Mahila Empowerment Party' (AIMEP), as a national political party which aims at empowering Indian women irrespective of caste, creed, religious tag and domicile region.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Nowehra said that India acquired its independence 70 years ago but still a majority of its citizens live below the poverty line. “The Government has launched several poverty alleviation programme but still it has not reached to a sizeable number of people due to lack of implementation,” he said.
Nowehra said that the main agenda of AIMEP is to see India as a developed economy where the common man, woman and every citizen is able and is benefitted from taxes they pay to the Governments and we will ensure that the common man should be benefitted by the schemes and programs launched by the Government.
He further said that AIMEP is planning to contest elections in the forthcoming election in Karnataka where the party has a strong base and is confident of winning seats.
“The primary motto of our party is to empower every woman from every corner of India. Effective health services are very important to women both for urban and rural areas. We will also raise our voices to the problems faced by women in health sector particularly those related with their pregnancy and nutrition. Crimes against women are also on rise. We will also demand for strongest law to secure justice for women,” said Aakil, Delhi State president of AIMEP
He also said that the central government should effectively ban child marriages which are still going on in some parts of country. “Child labor has also been banned legally but people are employing minor girls for domestic works. They have been left on mercy of employers,” he
said.
