Chief Minister Harish Rawat formally laid the foundation for about two dozen road construction projects at a programme in Bijapur guest house here on Wednesday. The CM formally announced these projects in Udham Singh Nagar, Almora, Dehradun and Haridwar districts worth `18986.22 lakh. Appreciating the Public Works Department (PWD) for a good work in all spheres, he said that the quality of work of the roads is very good. Rawat said that it is appreciable that work in more than 1000 roads in state has started in last six months.
The PWD secretary DS Gabrial and other departmental officials were also among those present on the occasion.
