Excise and Cooperation Minister Damodar Rout on Tuesday said here that any BJD leader or worker, who does indiscipline and immoral activities, would certainly be ousted from the party.
“The BJD is a very disciplined party. There is no place for undisciplined and immoral persons in it,” Rout said when asked to comment on the continuance of casting couch accused Papu Pompom in the party.
To a question on attack on Union Ministers at Bargarh, Rout said, “It is not wise on parts of the Union Ministers to come to a State on Government money and woo people to vote for their party leaders. People were angry at this. It can’t also be ruled out that some BJP leaders and workers might have pelted stones to make it a issue.”
To a question on sale of liquors at higher than MRP prices in Brahmapur, the Minister said the allegation would be investigated by two Excise Inspectors of the district soon.
Rout attended the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Odisha State Cooperation Union, Cooperation Management Centre and a students’ hostel on Gopalpur coast as chief guest.
Among others, Higher Education Minister Pradeep Panigrahy and Rajya Sabha MP N Bhaskar Rao were present.
