IGRMS observes official language fortnight till Sept 30

Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya is observing ‘Official language fortnight’ from September 14 to 30, 2016 in which various competitions and programmes are being organised. To promote Hindi amongst employees Essay writing, Story writing and guiding competition were organized.

The essay writing competition was coordinated by Rakesh Bhatt (Assistant Keeper) and Kul Bahadur Thapa. In this competition officers and employees wrote essay on ‘Bhasha aur Sanskriti’.

A story writing competition was coordinated by Dr Surya Kumar Pandey (Assistant Keeper), in this competition the beginning of a story was provided and participants were asked to complete it.

The guiding competition was organised by N Sakmacha Singh (Museum Associate) and Sarabjeet Singh (Museum Associate). In this competition participants drew chits and were allotted exhibits in the Tribal habitat Open air Exhibition. The participants acted as guides and explained their respective exhibit to the visitors in Official language Hindi.

The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sanghralaya under the activities of ‘Swachha Bharat’ Fortnight organised cleanliness drive where all employees and officers participated and cleaned the Tribal habitat exhibition area of the museum which included cleaning of dirt and dry leafs, cutting the grass and cleaning passages by removing the old furniture, files, garbage etc. from evening 4pm to 6pm. Along with that, a competition of poster making on the theme ‘Swachh Bharat Abvhiyan’ was organized by Art Section of IGRMS.
