Govt to buy medicines worth Rs 239 cr

The Odisha State Medical Corporation ltd (OSMCl), an independent procurement agency of the Health and Family Welfare Department, would be procuring 426 types of medicines for 2016-17 at an estimated cost of Rs 239 crore, sources said on Monday.

 

Pharmaceutical companies having two years of experience in drug manufacturing can participate in the tender, the sources added. The sources also revealed that the OSMCl, which began the tender process for the purpose on Saturday, has called a meeting with the participating pharmaceutical companies on June 4. Pharmaceutical companies can fill up tender applications online from June 3 till July 4, the sources added.
