With the approval of the Nikhil Bharat Mahila Congress president Shobha Ojha, names of seven organisational districts’ presidents of the Odisha Pradesh Mahila Congress were announced on Monday.
In the new team, Suprava Das was appointed as the chief for Bargarh district and Bishnupriya Sahoo for Bhubaneswar. Biswakalyani Kar was designated as president for Cuttack Sadar, Purnima Chand Sahu for Dhenkanal, Sushsmita Ghoshal for Mayurbhanj, Arati Swain for Jajpur and Pravati Mishra for Rourkela.
lalita Nayak, Ranjita Joshi, Mita Ray, Bhagyashri Pradhan, Surekha Sahu and Swarnalata Behera were appointed as general secretaries, informed Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee president Sashmita Behera.
“We will work for women empowerment. We will also try to make a liquor-free Odisha in coming days,” said Behera.
