Elephant dies at Nandankanan
Bhubaneswar: A seven-year-old elephant died at the Nandankanan Zoological Park near here on Monday morning. The pachyderm named Jagan was suffering from digestive problems, said an official of the zoo. A probe would be conducted to ascertain the reason behind the death of the animal, he added. Notably, the elephant as a calf had been brought to Nandankanan from Sundargarh in 2009.

Puri Jail Road drainage work to be completed
Puri: Water Resources Department Secretary PK Jena, Executive Engineer (Drainage) Sanjay Mallik and SDO (Drainage) Ashis Mishra took stock of the progress of the ongoing drainage work at the main Jail Road in Puri on Sunday. Secretary Jena told mediapersons that the work would be completed on June 20.
