Kanimozhi, MP, daughter of DMK chief M Karunanidhi, in her campaign trails accuses the AIADMK supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa of making promises under Rule 110 in the legislative Assembly and forgetting the same within hours. But the AIADMK general secretary, has thrown a gauntlet at the Opposition to come out with details of un-kept promises, if any.
“I have delivered whatever I promised to you. I have given the electorate more than what I have promised and what I did not promise. The Amma Canteen, Amma Mineral water, Amma Pharmacy, Amma Fruits and Vegetable Shops are things which I did not promise but delivered to you as a surprise. More and more surprises are on anvil for you if you make AIADMK victorious again in the May 16 election,” Jayalalithaa told voters of Dharmapuri on Wednesday.
Addressing a well-attended public rally at Dharmapuri, Jayalalithaa said she has many surprises to offer the people but they have to wait till the election is over. “A mother surprises her children by offering them unexpected but costly gifts. Similarly, you are all in for surprise schemes which will benefit each and every person in the State,” said the AIADMK general secretary.
The AIADMK is yet to release the election manifesto though the party is well ahead in the campaign trail.
