The University of Sussex offers fully-funded Chancellor’s international research scholarships. Scholarships are available for pursuing postgraduate research program for September 2017 intake.
Eligibility: Applicants must apply for a PhD in one of the following Schools at the University of Sussex: School of English; School of Media, Film and Music; School of History, Art History and Philosophy. Applicants must be classified as an international fee-paying student and able to commence their Ph.D. in September 2017. International students are eligible to apply.
How to apply: Applicants will need to complete two online applications in order to be considered for a scholarship: Applicants must apply online for a Ph.D. at Sussex (the deadline for applications has yet to be confirmed). Applicants must complete a separate online application for the scholarship (the deadline for applications has yet to be confirmed). When completing the scholarship application applicants will need to attach the following documents: Project summary.
It must contain details of any language training and fieldwork that will be necessary to carry out the proposed research. Two references. In addition, applicants will need to provide their University of Sussex application number when completing the scholarship application form (the application number will be provided once applicants have applied for a Ph.D.).

Durham University is offering Marchant Doctoral Scholarships for UK and international students.
Eligibility: If English is not your first language you will need IElTS 7.0 or Pearson Test of English Overall Score 70+. For UK students: A Masters degree, normally with a mark of at least 65 per cent in Masters dissertation. For non-UK students: A degree that is equivalent to a UK Masters. The student also needs to have completed and passed (at a level equivalent to at least 65 per cent) a dissertation module.
How to apply: Submit an application using the standard university online application form. Current CV; A research proposal, which is no longer than 2,000 (excluding bibliography); Two references; Transcripts of your previous degree(s).
