Complaint under the Right To Information (RTI) Act helped a teacher of the Hindu Inter College in Bijnore, to get promotion which was up till now has been stalled by the college management. Interestingly, the District Inspector of School (DIoS) of Bijnore, who was aware of the management evil design against the said teacher, had not forwarded any help to the victim following which he was forced to knock the door of Information Commissioner.
Reports said that one Ramveer Singh, posted as assistant teacher in the Hindu Inter College at Chandpur in Bijnore, appeared before Information Commissioner, Hafiz Usman, and submitted an application that he was not given promotion when he was entitled for it. Ramveer, appraised Usman, that a post of lecturer was lying vacant in the college and he was senior most to be promoted to the post but the college management refused to give him the post, making false claimed that the post is of lecturer in Hindi/Sanskrit. He said that even the management misguided the senior officers about it just to stall his promotional avenues.
Reports further said that after learning of the facts and that Ramveer had tried to sought the details of why his promotion was stalled by the management, failed to get any reply form the DIoS of Bijnore, so Information Commissioner, Hafiz Usman, asked the joint director of education in Moradabad, to look into the matter and appraised of the position and also to ensure that Ramveer should get a proper reply to his RTI filed with DIoS of Bijnore.
Usman claimed that soon after his intervention in the matter, Joint Director of Education in Moradabad, issued direction to the DIoS that the college management is making false claims and that Ramveer in entitled for the promotion to lecturer post in the college, so he must be given promotion immediately. Usman said that now the local DIoS also informed him that the process of promotion has been on and within next few days, Ramveer will be promoted as per the orders already given in this regard by Joing Diretcor of Education in Moradabad. Surprisingly, so far no action has been taken against the college authority who refused to give promotion that too after making false claims.
