As many as 90 services offered by different government departments will soon be made online. The portal will soon be integrated with the e-district portal.
Reviewing the progress of e-governance in UP on Tuesday, Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan said that the departments should arrange the required software and hardware for providing online service to people. He asked them to ensure that their websites were integrated with the e-district portal. Ranjan said that as per provisions of the ‘UP IT Policy 2012’, a provision of two per cent of the total budgetary outlay was available in the current fiscal. The UP government also directed heads of nine departments to ensure that 26 services offered by them to people were available on the portal. They have been asked to do away with the manual system. The CS said that so far over 5 crore people have availed the benefit of the services offered by the e-portal.
