Ultra modern infinity, laurette Phaco and Constellation Vitrectomy machines and four world class modular operation theatres have been set up in Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital recently. With the installation of these new facilities, this hospital has now become a pioneer eye care centre of the capital.
Besides surgeries of common cataract ailment, treatment of few other severe eye diseases like Glaucoma, Ratinopathy, Squint, Oculoplasty surgery, laser facility for diabetic patients have also been started on very concessional rates. Modern equipments like Fundus Camera, Topography Machine, Yag laser, B-Scan, OCT, Karetometer, Pachymeter and IOl Master Machines are available in the hospital.
Medical director and senior ophthalmologist Dr Prerna Upadhyaya has said that there is a fallacy in society that one should go for eye surgery in winter only. She has said that with the availability of ultra modern equipments, it has now become easier to perform painless eye surgeries throughout the year.
Managing Trustee of the hospital lC Janiyani has said that Paramhansa Sant Hirdaram had established this hospital to serve the poor people. Therefore cost of eye surgeries in Sewa Sadan is comparatively on concessional rates. Eye surgeries are performed here on No Profit – No loss basis.
