The nation saw a traffic cop in Delhi hurling a brick at a lady. While in Jharkhand, a jaguar jawan is alleged to have thrashed an office assistant in Balumath block office leading to total disruption of all Government work in the Balumath block office on Friday, said sources. This case of rage at a Government office crippled a day’s work at Balumath block office.

latehar SP Ajay linda said, “I have heard of this complaint in which an office assistant of the Balumath block office Roshan Kumar Upadhaya has alleged to have been assaulted by a jaguar jawan on May 14.” latehar SP added, “The incident is attributed to the locking of the gate of the office of the Balumth block.” Sources said the assistant had office articles in his hands and was in no position to shut the gate, which the jaguar jawan was asking for. The saying no by the assistant is said to have enraged the jaguar jawan, who beat him up. On Friday, there was pen down strike by the staff of the Balumath block office. They wanted FIR to be registered against the jawan.

Balumath BDO Arjun Ram was so nervous that he declined to speak to The Pioneer and begged for some time saying, “I am with some people around me.” BDO Balumath understandably did not speak at all thereafter despite several calls made on his cell phone. latehar SP linda said the text of the complaint is to be verified. He said the jawan,

who is alleged to have assaulted the assistant, was on sentry duty on May 14 and sentry duty jawan cannot budge an inch from the security post so how come the jawan roughed up the assistant. Asked about investigation into the incident, linda said “A DSP Gudiya has been sent there to find out the truth and restore normality in the office of Balumath block development officer’. Asked about the action to be taken after the allegation of roughing up of the assistant is proved true, SP latehar linda said, “law will take its own course. I will write to jaguar chief for the needful.”
