Chief Minister Raghubar Das inaugurated the much awaited telemedicine service application e-Niramaya for Hazaribagh on Tuesday via video conferencing.
“Health services do not reach the rural pockets of Jharkhand as they should. State Government is working towards providing quality health services to the last man of the state, and E-Niramaya Telemedicine for Primary Healthcare is a strong and effective step in this direction,” Das said while inaugurating the service.
In the initial stage, Pragya Kendras in 50 panchayats and OPDs of hospitals in remote areas of Hazaribagh have been brought under the aegis of this service. Under this service, patients can get medical advice from doctors through video conferencing at Pragya Kendras.
“This service can be availed by those residing even in the far-flung areas of the state. If need be, they can also get the doctor’s prescription online. A digital record of the immunisation drives can be maintained through this telemedicine application, along with the details of medicines distributed among the patients and their test reports. If the initiative is successful in Hazaribagh, it will be extended to the rest of the state,” Das said.
Regarding the telemedicine service DC Mukesh Kumar informed that through e-Niramaya service now every PHCs and referral hospitals of the district will remain connected with the divisional Sadar Hospital Hazaribagh. Patients of remote areas can contact and take advice of the doctors through this service without coming to Hazaribagh.
From Hazaribagh’s end, Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Kumar attended the inauguration ceremony via teleconferencing, along with other senior district officials, police officers, doctors and health department functionaries.
Along with the telemedicine service, CM also inaugurated a project application, ‘Humara Hazaribagh Mobile Application’. The app has been developed by district administration to kep an eye on the on-site progress of developmental scheme, like PDS, MNREGA, Sarva Siksha Abhiyaan and others.
This App will be helpful in saving time and effort, said CM.
Giving a brief account of the Hazaribagh app DC Mukesh Kumar said “It will help in monitoring the developmental projects and important administrative works without visiting the sites. Status of any project or administrative task can be checked with the help of this application. From Tuesday onwards, the visiting teams, engineers and other Government officials and agencies will upload their status and other information on the App, with pictorial evidence.”
