Chief Minister Raghubar Das inaugurated the much awaited telemedicine service application e-Niramaya for Hazaribagh on Tuesday via video conferencing.

“Health services do not reach the rural pockets of Jharkhand as they should. State Government is working towards providing quality health services to the last man of the state, and E-Niramaya Telemedicine for Primary Healthcare is a strong and effective step in this direction,” Das said while inaugurating the service.

In the initial stage, Pragya Kendras in 50 panchayats and OPDs of hospitals in remote areas of Hazaribagh have been brought under the aegis of this service. Under this service, patients can get medical advice from doctors through video conferencing at Pragya Kendras.

“This service can be availed by those residing even in the far-flung areas of the state. If need be, they can also get the doctor’s prescription online. A digital record of the immunisation drives can be maintained through this telemedicine application, along with the details of medicines distributed among the patients and their test reports. If the initiative is successful in Hazaribagh, it will be extended to the rest of the state,” Das said.
