Rajeshwari B on Saturday took charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Garhwa. She has replaced Dr Manish Ranjan, who has been transferred as Director of Middle Education Board Jharkhand. Earlier, Rajeshwari B was DDC at Ramgarh. She has become the first woman DC the district. Rajeshwari B is a Karnataka cadre IAS officer, presently on inter-state deputation in Jharkhand.
Talking to The Pioneer, Rajeshwari said that her priority was to correct the Public Distribution System, health service and education in the district. Stating on the corruption issue, she termed it a big reason behind backwardness.
