Bhagat Singh Museum's 2nd phase construction to start from March

The Punjab Government would start the second phase of the construction, modernisation and upgrade work of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Museum at his birth place, Khatkar Kalan, by March first week. The second phase would cover the interior, exterior, electrical and other pending work necessitated to make the museum fully operational in the next eight months.

The entire project cost was estimated to be Rs16.50 crore. The work is expected be completed in three phases, but the museum would be made operational by the completion of second phase work which would be completed with an estimated cost of Rs5.58 crore. Covering around 35,000 square feet constructed area, the Museum would house various galleries, besides auditoriums and other exhibition places.
