Dharmendra reviews lPG availability in State
Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum & Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday reviewed lPG availability and coverage in Odisha, besides the status of lPG infrastructure. It was reported that nearly 7.5 lakh new lPG connections were given in the current financial year. Pradhan directed for addition of 40 lakh new consumers by 2019. He asked to set up two new bottling plants in western Odisha to meet lPG requirement.
State-level teachers’ training concludes
Bhubaneswar: A four-day State-level teachers’ training, organised by the Bharatiya Shiksha Parishad, concluded here at the Shree Jayadev Shiksha Kendra on Tuesday. Swami Sadananda Saraswati, who was chief guest in the function, spoke about the importance of spiritualism in education. Shiksha Parishad president Sudhir Kumar Das chaired the meeting. More than 200 teachers from various schools of the State participated in the training. A souvenir of the Parishad was released. A cultural function was also held on the occasion. Sundar Mohan Barik coordinated the programme.
