RlD accuses BJP, SP of igniting communal tension

Friday, 31 January 2014 | Biswajeet/PNS | Lucknow

Blaming Samajwadi Party and Bharatiya Janata Party for igniting Muzaffarnagar riots Union Aviation Minister and RlD national president Ajit Singh said that Akhilesh Yadav allowed killing of innocent people for the sake of votes.

Kicking off lok Sabha election campaign in Agra on Thursday he said that riots in Muzaffarnagar was not a communal pogrom but a political mayhem in which Muslims were killed to fulfill the political ambitions of the Samajwadi Party and BJP leaders.

"What happened in Muzaffarnagar is a shame. The SP and the BJP worked in tandem to sensitise their respective vote banks," he said. "Mulayam calls himself a messiah of Muslims. But the fact is he has used Muslims as a vote bank to further his political ambitions," Chaudhry said.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and BJP were on the target of Chaudhry’s almost 15 minute speech. He said the party that is yet to come clean of Gujarat riot is spreading lies of giving good governance.

The RlD president called BJP as Danga party, Samajwadi Party as Goonda Party and BSP and lootera party. None of these parties can give governance. Fed up with the loot of Mayawati people voted Samajwadi Party to power. This led to increase in hoologanism.

"There is no Government in Uttar Pradesh. In fact, there are five chief ministers and all of them are incompetent. People are facing the brunt for electing Samajwadi Party government. Time has come for RlD to emerge as an alternative," he said.

Party’s national general secretary Anil Dubey said that over 3 lakh people attended the rally that was held at kothi Meena Bazar maidan. "This was bigger rally than Modi’s held a few week ago in Agra," he said.
