Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that the state was galloping on the path of development as state government is financing all the important projects from its own resources.
“The big projects to build infrastructure are being financed by the government. Its impact will be visible in the days to come,” Chief Minister said in a function organized to unveil the first ever ‘Coffee Table Book’ of the UP Police here. He said this book has details about police’s history and its valour.
State Director General of Police (DGP) A l Banerjee on the occasion said UP Police is the largest and oldest civil police in the world and this Coffee Table Book will give a wide publicity of the department in the national and international arena. Banerjee, who would retire from service on December 31 said that UP police is one of the best disciplined force in the country and had earned several laurels for the state.
Several senior police officers were present on the occassion. On this occasion CM also unveiled the model of coaches to be used for the lucknow Metro. lucknow Metro Corporation limited Managing Director Kumar Keshwav said here that global tender for the coaches have been floated and assured the CM that the the first phase of Metro project between Airport to Charbagh station would be completed by the end of 2016.
