As many as 66 matters related to forest land transfer still remain pending in Bageshwar district. Out of these 66, 48 matters are pending at the department level, while 13 matters at the nodal office level and five lying at the Government of India level, said the district administration officials Bageshwar.
Meanwhile, the district administration Bageshwar has asked the officials of the different departments to have better coordination to settle the pending cases related to the forest land transfer at the earliest. More so, it has also stressed on the need to ensure timely completion of the basic formalities so that the developmental projects could also be initiated on time.
The matter of concern is that due to the delay in completion of the projects, the people could not make most of these developmental works. Therefore, all the officials concerned of different departments are supposed to expedite the pace of the developmental works in the district, maintained the district administration, Bageshwar.
What adds to the concern is the fact that works remain pending for a long period, denying the common people access to the developmental works, thanks to the apathy on the part of the officials concerned. Hence the stress is on timely completion of works. At the same time, it has also asked the officials concerned to compensate those whose land has been used for road construction works in the district at the earliest.
The district administration Bageshwar has also asked the officials concerned of different departments to submit the forest land transfer- related matters to the Government soon which have not yet been given clearance by the Government so as to ensure that the construction works start soon.
