Akhilesh hits out at Cong, BJP

Monday, 31 March 2014 | Biswajeet/PNS | Lucknow

Attacking Congress and Bharatiya Janata party Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that people will teach these two parties a lesson in lok Sabha elections as both of them do not have enough candidates to contest election and are relying heavily on party hoppers.

"This is a very crucial election that will decide the political direction of the country. People have already rejected UPA for its anti-people policies while there is no taker for BJP’s communal agenda. Both the parties have given tickets to party hoppers because they do not have enough winnable candidates in their ranks," Yadav said while addressing an election rally in Hapur on Sunday.

Yadav, who is also state president of the party said that in this scenario only Third Front will come to power, which will be formed with active support of Samajwadi Party.

"Uttar Pradesh will play a crucial role in formation of next Government in Centre. The Modi balloon has busted. The much hyped Modi wave is no where to be seen. People have seen the performance of Samajwadi party Government and based on that they will help SP to form the Government," he said. "Mark my words - Samajwadi Party will sweep the next elections," he said.

He criticised the slogans of Gujarat model, as given by BJP and that of Bharat Nirman given by the Congress. "There is no Gujarat model. It is all media created while the Congress which ruled the country for over 50 years has now given the slogan of Bharat Nirman - which is just a mockery,'' he said.

He appealed to the people to support Samajwadi Party candidates in the elections as the party's government has done enough for the state. "Our is the party which has worked for the development of poor, farmers, students and minosity community. Our Government has fulfilled all the promises party had made in the last assembly election.

When we decided to distribute laptops questions were raised and now many other political parties have made similar announcements. Roads and bridges have been constructed. All the district headquarters will be connected with four-lane roads. We are committed to change the face of Uttar Pradesh," he said.

Minister of labour Shahid Manjoor is SP’s candidate from Hapur.Meanwhile SP general secretary and UP minister Mohammad Azam Khan in an election rally in Faizabad, said that all efforts should be made to stop Narendra Modi and BJP from coming to power.

''Faizabad is already in the world radar after the Ayodhya demolition and now if BJP comes to power such incidents would be repeated in other parts of the country too,'' he said and appealed to the people to support the SP candidate Mitrasen Yadav besides asking the minorities to unite and use their votes cautiously.
