Hailing from a sleepy village Narora in UP, 26-year-old Roshni Sharma is all set to get her name in the limca Book of Records for her adventurous expedition from Kanyakumari to leh negotiating a distance of 4,000-km all alone in 12 days passing through 12 States
During the course of her arduous journey she would encounter the high mountains of the Himalayas, tough terrains, high passes of Rohtang, Sarchu, Pang and Tangalangla weaving her way through the dangerous glaciers. She set out for her long journey on June 26 from Kanyakumari. She was in Mandi on Friday evening.
Roshni Sharma is a software engineer by profession and was meeting all her expenses by herself.
“My prime objective was to convey a message to young girls for generating self-confidence and liberate themselves from the shackles of orthodoxy and come out from the cocoon of slavery for playing an important role in the development and prosperity of the country, Women can play great role in eradicating social evils and reforming the society,” she said. Sizzling with zest and vivacity, Roshni said biking was her “passion” from the tender years and she always hunted for the new ventures. “Nothing was impossible to achieve if you have the required will and determination”, she said.
