Saturday, 31 August 2013 | Biswajeet/PNS | Lucknow

Advocating pro-investors housing policy Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that the proposed Housing Policy should aim at resolving the urban housing problems for the poor and middle class.

"The proposed Housing policy should not only look at the environment aspect but should also be investor friendly. The policy should aim at prompting private investors in the Housing schemes. For this officials should take care of energy requirement," Chief Minister while reviewing the proposed Housing and Environment policy 2013 here on Friday.

He said the mixed use of land should be promoted in the proposed policy in the city so that there is no extraneous pressure on the other resources. Water bodies, green cover and open spaces should be taken in mind before finalizing the policy, Yadav said. "The policy should take care of poor and think of providing them cheap houses at affordable prices," Chief Minister said.

Chief Secretary Jawed Usmani, Principal Secretary Housing Sadakant and Secretary to Chief Minister Anita Singh were among the senior officers who attended this meeting.
