GVK-EMRI call centre to operate all vehicles

The State Cabinet on Tuesday decided that the vehicles of Sanjeevani-108 Ambulance Service and Janani Express will be operated through a central call centre. This will ensure effective monitoring of vehicles and will also cut down the expenditure.

According to the decision, all vehicles under Sanjeevani-108 Ambulance Service and Janani Express Yojana would be linked to the central call centre run by GVK-EMRI. As a result, both kinds of vehicles would be available on toll-free number 108. The capacity of the call centre would later be increased as per requirement.

The Cabinet sanctioned Rs 1,720.30 crore for six irrigation projects. Administrative sanction of Rs 84 crore was given for implementation of Irrigation Area Development and Watershed Management Programme of Kolar Major Irrigation Project. Project's irrigation area is 45,087 hectares. During 2012-13, the project irrigated 33,427 hectares during Rabi season.

The Cabinet sanctioned ERM proposal for works pertaining to expansion, strengthening and modernisation of Tawa major irrigation project in Hoshangabad and Harda districts. In-principle consent was given to complete the project in 5 phases. Cost of first phase would be Rs 89.91 crore, second Rs 225 crore, third Rs 325 crore, fourth Rs 75 crore and cost of the fifth phase would be Rs 500 crore. Administrative sanction of Rs 89.91 crore was accorded for getting the first phase work done from State government funds. Revised administrative sanction of Rs 980.23 crore was granted for Bansujara major project in Tikamgarh district. Besides irrigation in 53,579 hectares from left bank canal in Tikamgarh district, 5,101 hectare would now be irrigated in Chhatarpur district from the right bank canal.

Revised administrative sanction of Rs 91.39 crore was accorded to Kachhal medium project in Shajapur district. Area measuring 3170 hectares is proposed to be irrigated in Rabi season from this project to be constructed on Kachhal River at village Madkota in Barod tehsil.

The Cabinet also endorsed Byaj Anudan Yojana. Finance through bank is made available by Directorate of Handloom, Sericulture directorate, Madhya Pradesh Khadi and Village Industry Board, Madhya Pradesh Handicraft and Handloom Development Corporation and Madhya Pradesh Clay Art Board to beneficiaries for setting up their own cottage and village industries. loans are sanctioned to them for building, machinery, working capital, etc. like Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana, beneficiaries of this scheme would also be sanctioned loan subsidy of 5 per cent. The beneficiaries would be entitled for 5 per cent loan subsidy for 5 years for sanctioned projects of up to Rs 50,000. Subsidy would be subject to maximum of Rs 2,000 per annum.

loan subsidy of 5 per cent would be given for 5 years for loans over Rs 50,000 up to Rs 5 lakh. Total maximum annual subsidy would be Rs 17,000, including capital investment and working capital.

Similarly, under Mukhyamantri Karigar Swarozgar Yojana, margin money of up to Rs 5,000 would be given on projects up to Rs 10,000 and 5 per cent interest subsidy would be given on payable amount of loan of remaining Rs 5,000. Margin money on project cost would be given on projects worth over Rs 10,000 up to Rs 5 lakh, which would be 50 per cent of the project cost or Rs 25,000, whichever is less. On loans taken from banks, 5 per cent loan subsidy u pto a maximum of Rs 24,000 per annum would be given for 5 years. This scheme has been implemented for urban artisans for the first time.

For rural artisans, project cost has been increased from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. The scheme provides loans up to Rs 10,000 at zero per cent interest rate and Rs 5,000 margin money subsidy. There is no binding of academic qualifications for the schemes. Beneficiary must be between 18 and 35 years of age.
