Dissent turns violent in BJP

Sunday, 27 October 2013 | SR | Bhopal

The opposition to the sitting BJP legislators turned violent on Saturday when the workers burnt effigy of the sitting MlA from Narsingarh at BJP State headquarters and started scuffled with senior leaders.

It may be noted the workers have been demanding for about a month to deny party ticket to the sitting MlA of Narsingarh Mohan Sharma. On Saturday, local BJP leader led by Narendra Sharma along with his supporters came to the BJP headquarters and after shouting slogan against Mohan Sharma, they burnt his effigy.

As soon as the office secretary Alok Sanjar came to know that the protestors were about to burn the effigy, he along with other leaders reached the spot and asked Narendra to leave the place if he was not ready to listen or follow the discipline.

However, in the present of Sanjar, the effigy was burnt and during the scuffle, Narendra Sharma was bashed up. A police team also reached the spot after some time, protestors had left the place.

later, Parliamentarian Raghunandan Sharma told media persons that Narendra has been expelled from the BJP and the RSS some time back. Meanwhile, parliamentarian Shivraj Singh lodhi again reached the office and submitted his claim for Assembly ticket. He has earlier staged dharna in the party office demanding ticket.
