HUDA invites applications
Chandigarh: Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has invited applications for allotment of sites of petrol and diesel pumps at Bhiwani, Dadri, Faridabad, Hisar, Kaithal and Naraingarh on lease hold basis. Spokesman said that the applications could be submitted on any working day between October 1 and 28 at the office of HUDA Faridabad, Hisar or Panchkula. Only national and private oil companies which have been issued license for petrol and diesel by Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas could apply. There would be one petrol or diesel pump station each at Bhiwani, Dadri and Naraingarh, two each in Hisar and Kaithal and four in Faridabad.
Hooda condoles demise of Kanta Gupta
Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has expressed grief over the demise of Kanta Gupta, wife of GV Gupta, IAS (retired) who is former Chairman of erstwhile Haryana State Electricity Board. She was 78 and survived by her husband, four daughters and two sons. Hooda expressed his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed to almighty that the departed soul might rest in peace.
BJP’s pharma cell organises free medical camp
Chandigarh: BJP Pharmaceutical Cell organised a free medical camp on Sunday at Dhanas. BJP Chandigarh President Sanjay Tandon inaugurated the camp and praised the social services of Pharmaceutical Cell. 1156 patients were examined during the camp and free medicines were also distributed. During the camp, the BJP alleged that Maloya, Dadu Majra and Dhanas do not having basic facilities for the patients and even medicines are not available.
Aryans job fest on Sept 30
Mohali: A total of 4889 candidates from all across north India have been registered for 15th Aryans mega job fair to be organised by Aryans Group of Colleges on September 30. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that more than 40 companies from various sectors including Automobile, Pharma, Electronics, IT, Software, Banking, Insurance, BPO, Marketing, Sales, etc. would offer around 400 jobs at various levels during the job fair. The details of the eligibility criteria, number of vacancies, place of posting, package and other details have already been uploaded on www.aryans.edu.in. These companies would offer salary packages ranging between 1 lakh-4 lakh per annum.
Separate ward for women inmates at Burail jail
Chandigarh: KK Sharma, Adviser to UT Administrator will lay the foundation stone for constructing a separate ward for female inmates (as per the guidelines of Government of India) and also for a gymnasium at Burail Jail here on Monday. The initiative is a yet another milestone in making conditions more habitable and positive for the transformation of the prisoners, said UT spokesperson.
