UP CM Yogi Adityanath Inaugurates Rs 14.33 Crore Bridge in Gorakhpur

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated a ₹14.33 crore two-lane bridge in the Taramandal area of Gorakhpur, marking a significant step in the city’s ongoing infrastructure expansion.
Constructed over a water body, the newly opened bridge is expected to enhance connectivity and ease movement within the rapidly developing Taramandal locality. The project is aimed at improving urban mobility, supporting planned development, and strengthening local infrastructure.
During the inauguration, the Chief Minister highlighted the transformation of Taramandal from a flood-prone and underdeveloped area into a prime residential and commercial hub. He recalled that during the 1998 floods, residents were forced to vacate the region due to poor infrastructure and lack of basic amenities.
Today, the area has emerged as one of the fastest-growing and most sought-after localities in Gorakhpur, reflecting the broader development push in the state.
The bridge is part of the Uttar Pradesh government’s continued efforts to upgrade urban infrastructure and improve living standards across cities.
