When women prosper, the nation progresses: C Sadanandan Master

The two-day national seminar “Daughters of the Indian Constitution: 75 Years of Empowerment towards Viksit Bharat @ 2047” concluded on Friday at Delhi University’s Shankarlal Auditorium. The programme featured in-depth discussions on India’s civilisational development, women’s empowerment, constitutional values, and the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
The contributions of the 15 eminent women members of the Constituent Assembly were examined in detail, highlighting their visionary leadership and active role in shaping an inclusive Constitution. Prof. Geeta Bhatt presented the seminar report. Organised by the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) with Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) and sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).
Speaking at the event, Chief Guest Rajya Sabha MP C Sadanandan Master said, “Associating with nationalist ideology has been a noble mission of his life. He emphasised that when women are educated, confident, and self-reliant, families become stronger, society improves, and the nation progresses.”
“A developed India means equal opportunities for all-where both men and women can dream and fulfil those dreams. A strong woman contributes significantly to building a strong nation,” he added.
He also pointed out that women-especially mothers and sisters-are often victims of societal cruelty, citing an incident in Kerala where women supporting positive social change were attacked by leftist antisocial elements.
Even after his own legs were severed by similar attackers, he said, his commitment to the nation remained unshaken.
