When flavours meet culinary storytelling

Flavours shine through Paella and Thecha
In the evolving landscape of fine dining, Maya emerges as a thoughtfully crafted experience that goes beyond the plate. Conceived in September 2024, the restaurant is the brainchild of Chef Pradeep, whose 25-year culinary journey across diverse cultures has shaped a concept rooted in both tradition and innovation. At Maya, heirloom Indian recipes meet Spanish culinary traditions, creating a menu that explores surprising similarities while celebrating distinct regional identities.
At the core of Maya lies its philosophy, ‘The Irresistible Allure of Hidden Flavours.’ This idea transforms dining into an immersive act of discovery. Inspired by the concept of light refraction-where perception shifts to reveal unseen dimensions-the restaurant encourages guests to engage with food in new and unexpected ways. Each dish is carefully designed to evoke curiosity, blending memory, technique, and creativity to deliver flavours that unfold gradually, much like a story.
Maya embraces a small-plate dining format, drawing inspiration from India’s traditional thali culture and Spain’s convivial tapas style. This approach fosters interaction and shared experiences at the table. Signature dishes such as Chenna Pearls with Summer Gazpacho, Prawn Thecha, Duck Sukka, Tawa Gucchi Paprika Hemp Chaat, and the inventive Maya Paella highlight a playful yet refined culinary philosophy. Every plate balances textures, temperatures, and presentation, engaging multiple senses simultaneously. Complementing the food is a thoughtfully curated beverage programme, where cocktails are designed to enhance and elevate the dining journey.
Spread across 7,000 square feet in Gurgaon, the restaurant’s interiors mirror its culinary ethos. A seamless blend of Indian warmth and Spanish elegance defines the space, with carefully curated lighting, décor, and layout creating an ambience that is both inviting and layered. The design remains understated, allowing the food to remain the focal point while subtly guiding guests through an experience of discovery.
