VIT-AP excels at National Taekwondo Championship

VIT-AP University is proud to announce the outstanding achievements of its student-athletes, who have once again brought glory to the University through their exceptional performances in national and State-level sporting events.
At the VIFA South Zone Taekwondo Championship, held at the Gundu Rao Sports Complex, Malleswaram, Bengaluru, from July 25 to 27, 2026, VIT-AP students delivered remarkable performances, securing four medals at the national level.
GS Diwakar (23MIS7314), a student of the University, showcased exceptional skill and determination by winning: gold medal in individual recognised Poomsae, silver medal in Kyorugi (under 85 kg category), Arya Pratap (24BCA7093) also delivered an outstanding performance, earning: gold Medal in Kyorugi (Above 85 kg category) and silver medal in individual recognised Poomsae.
Adding to the university’s sporting accomplishments, VIT-AP students performed commendably at the State-level Chess Tournament, organised at Scotpine International School, Kanuru, Vijayawada, on July 26, 2026. The University’s chess players secured the following positions: Peeyush Kumar Jeena (25BCA7243) — 6th place, RV Bhagatheeswar Reddy (25BCE8773) — 7th place and Ashwin T (24BCE8059) — 10th place
