VHP, Bajrang Dal to hold protest over killing of Hindu in Bangladesh
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal have announced a peaceful protest at the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi on December 23 to condemn the killing of a Hindu youth in Bangladesh, an incident that has sparked widespread outrage within the Hindu community.
According to a press invitation issued by the VHP, the demonstration will take place at 11:00 am outside the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi. The protest aims to demand justice for the victim and to draw attention to concerns over the safety of religious minorities in Bangladesh.
The VHP stated that the killing was a “brutal and inhuman act” and described it as not merely the murder of an individual but an assault on human rights, religious freedom, and the basic values of a civilised society.
Organisers noted that this is not the first time the issue has been raised.
Earlier protests had already been registered, and the matter was escalated through diplomatic correspondence, urging authorities to take cognisance of the incident and ensure accountability.
However, the groups said they were compelled to intensify their outreach due to the absence of satisfactory action.
The upcoming protest will be organised under the joint banner of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal. Organisers have emphasised that the demonstration will remain peaceful and focused on seeking justice for the victim’s family.
Surendra Kumar Gupta, State Minister of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad for the Indraprastha (Delhi Province), has appealed to media organisations to provide coverage of the protest to amplify the issue at a national and international level.
The organisers said sustained media attention is essential to highlight what they described as an international human rights concern and to press for meaningful action through appropriate diplomatic and legal channels.
