VD Satheesan Takes Oath as Kerala Chief Minister

Kerala witnessed a major political transition as the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) officially returned to power after ten years.
Senior Congress leader V. D. Satheesan took oath as the new Chief Minister during a swearing-in ceremony held in Thiruvananthapuram, marking the beginning of a new phase in the state's political landscape.
The UDF’s victory in the Kerala Assembly elections ended a decade-long tenure of the Left Democratic Front (LDF).
The alliance secured a strong mandate from voters, signaling a shift in public sentiment and expectations regarding governance and development in the state.
Along with the Chief Minister, members of the new cabinet also took oath and are expected to begin work on key administrative and public welfare priorities.
Several national and state leaders attended the ceremony, highlighting the political importance of the event.
Political observers see this change as a significant development for Kerala, as the new government prepares to address challenges related to employment, economic growth, infrastructure, and public welfare. Citizens will now closely watch the new administration’s decisions and policy direction in the coming years.
