US-Iran Negotiations advance as West Asia War deal talks Gain Momentum, Says Marco Rubio

Iran has said it is currently negotiating an end to the ongoing war with the United States, while clarifying that nuclear issues are not part of the present discussions.
According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry, while progress has been made on several points under discussion, no final agreement has been reached. The ministry also stated that the negotiations are focused on de-escalating the conflict and reopening key strategic routes, including discussions around the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that a potential agreement could materialise “soon,” suggesting that talks between Washington and Tehran have made significant progress. He indicated that a framework for reopening the Strait of Hormuz and initiating time-bound negotiations is on the table.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump, however, struck a cautious tone, saying negotiators have been instructed not to rush into any agreement, even as diplomatic efforts continue.
The developments come amid broader regional tensions involving Israel, Lebanon, and Iran-backed Hezbollah, with ongoing military activity reported in southern Lebanon alongside ceasefire concerns.
Iran has also stressed that any potential understanding does not yet constitute a formal agreement, and further negotiations will be required before any final resolution is reached.
