Union Ministers inaugurate REC’s ‘green multiplier’ pavilion

In a major showcase of India’s accelerating energy transition, the REC Limited Pavilion was officially inaugurated at the Bharat Electricity Summit. The “Green Multiplier” themed space was opened by Manohar Lal, Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, alongside Prahlad Joshi, Union Minister of New & Renewable Energy, and Shripad Naik, Union Minister of State for Power.
The high-profile event was attended by Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power), and Jitendra Srivastava, CMD of REC Limited. Envisioned as a contemporary, technology-driven installation, the pavilion brings to life the core philosophy of “Financing India’s Energy Abundance.” The design and vibrant colour palette symbolise renewable growth and stability, reflecting the nation’s rapid shift towards a low-carbon economy.
At the heart of the pavilion sits a striking solar installation inspired by the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. This centrepiece reinforces the organisation’s pivotal role in decentralising power and democratising energy across the country. The narrative within the space extends to the company’s diverse financing portfolio, which serves as the financial backbone for India’s ambitious Net Zero 2070 goals.
Beyond traditional power sectors, the pavilion highlights REC’s expanding support for electric mobility and an inclusive green transition. The experience is enhanced by high-tech features, including anamorphic LED walls, kinetic displays, and RFID-based storytelling. Through this immersive journey, the corporation reaffirms its leadership as a “Green Multiplier,” powering the essential infrastructure for a sustainable tomorrow.
