Two brothers arrested after woman dies following stabbing in Bengaluru

Bengaluru Police have arrested two brothers in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 24-year-old woman in the city's Kodihalli area. The victim, identified as Amrutha, succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital, following the attack that took place on July 13.
According to police, the incident was linked to a personal dispute involving one of the accused, Dhanush, who allegedly wanted to marry the woman despite already being married. Investigators said Amrutha had rejected his proposal after learning about his existing marriage.
Police alleged that Dhanush then instructed his younger brother, Surya, to attack her. Surya allegedly entered the victim's residence and stabbed her multiple times before fleeing the scene.
After several days in hospital, Amrutha died from her injuries, prompting police to add murder charges to the case. Both accused have been taken into custody, and further investigations are underway to determine the full sequence of events and any additional evidence related to the crime. Authorities said legal proceedings will continue as the case progresses.
