Twisha Sharma Case: Mother-in-Law Giribala Singh denies contacting influential people

The investigation into the death of Twisha Sharma has taken another turn after her mother-in-law, retired judge Giribala Singh, denied allegations that she contacted influential individuals to influence the ongoing probe.
Responding to accusations made by Twisha’s family, Singh stated that people had been calling her mainly to offer condolences and support, rejecting claims of any attempt to interfere with the investigation.
Twisha’s family had earlier raised concerns over a series of phone calls allegedly made after her death.
They questioned whether calls to certain individuals, including people linked to the judiciary and CCTV technicians, required deeper investigation. The family has demanded a detailed review of call records and digital evidence as part of the case.
Giribala Singh clarified that some calls were related to CCTV matters and denied using personal influence in any way.
She also questioned the treatment she had been receiving during the investigation and maintained that the allegations against her were being wrongly interpreted.
Meanwhile, the case continues to attract significant public attention.
Authorities are examining multiple aspects, including call records, CCTV data, and other digital evidence as the investigation progresses. The Madhya Pradesh government has also moved toward recommending a CBI investigation into the matter.
