Student held for carrying pistol inside school

An 18-year-old student was arrested on Monday after he was found carrying a pistol and live ammunition inside a private school in northwest Delhi's Rohini on Tuesday. The event triggered panic among staff and prompted immediate police action.
Police said the teenager, identified as Raj Kumar, was allegedly carrying a country-made pistol along with 10 live cartridges inside the school premises to intimidate classmates with whom he had personal enmity and whom he claimed had bullied him. The weapon was detected before any harm was caused.
According to police, a call was received on Monday reporting that a student was carrying a firearm inside the school.
A police team rushed to the spot, where school authorities produced the student along with the weapon and ammunition recovered from his possession.
