Speaker Vijender Gupta meets President Murmu

Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta, along with the eminent Jain spiritual leader Aryika Smt Purnamati Mataji, paid a courtesy call on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday.
During the interaction with the President, Aryika Smt Purnamati Mataji, who took spiritual initiation from Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, shared reflections on the ethical foundations of public life, emphasising values of self-discipline, compassion, and moral clarity as essential to responsible public service, and conveyed her blessings to the President. Further, during the interaction, Gupta apprised the President of key institutional initiatives being undertaken by the Delhi Assembly to strengthen transparency, efficiency, and accountable governance.
The Speaker then briefed the President on the implementation of the National e-Vidhan Application, enabling the Delhi Legislative Assembly to function as a fully digital and paperless House, the transition towards a completely solar-powered green legislature, and sustained efforts to develop the Assembly as a Heritage Site, preserving its democratic legacy while opening its historic premises to the public.
The President appreciated the initiatives presented and acknowledged the Delhi Government and the Delhi Assembly’s ongoing efforts towards institutional reform.
