Telangana MLA's company moves to High Court over irregularities in RR-2 tenders

Hyderabad, October 10: Telangana Congress MLA Rajagopal Reddy's company, Sushee Infra and Mining Ltd, has filed a petition in the High Court against the state government over irregularities in awarding the contracts for the Radial Road-2 (RR-2) project.

The government has called bidders to construct Radial Road-2 (RR-2), a proposed 81.15-km greenfield expressway connecting the Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Kothwalguda (Budvel) to NH-167N near Nacharam, Medak.

The company claims the state government disqualified it even though its bid was lower than the proposed Rs 600 crore tender, but awarded it to three other bidders who quoted more than the proposed tender value.

According to the petition, the company was disqualified because its experience certificate was not countersigned by a Superintending Engineer (SE). The company contended that the decision was illegal and violated the principles of natural justice and Articles 14 and 19(1)(g) of the Constitution.

The petitioner sought a direction to set aside the technical bid evaluation result dated October 7, 2026, insofar as it disqualified the company, declare it technically qualified and direct the authorities to open and evaluate its financial bid along with those of other qualified bidders.

Sushee Infra also filed an interim application seeking suspension of the disqualification. In another application, it requested the court to restrain the authorities from finalising the tender, issuing any Letter of Acceptance or awarding the work to another bidder until the petition is disposed of.
