Taiwan reports increase in Chinese Military activity around Island

Taiwan has reported a fresh rise in Chinese military activity around the island, with its Ministry of National Defence detecting multiple Chinese aircraft and naval vessels operating near its territory. The development adds to ongoing tensions across the Taiwan Strait, where Beijing has steadily increased military patrols and exercises in recent years. Taiwan's military said it closely monitored the movements and responded by deploying appropriate surveillance and defence measures.
According to Taiwanese authorities, several Chinese aircraft entered areas near Taiwan's Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ), while naval vessels were also spotted operating around the island. Officials stated that the armed forces remain on high alert and are tracking all activities to ensure national security and regional stability.
The increase in incursions comes amid heightened cross-strait tensions and growing concerns over China's military pressure campaign against Taiwan. Beijing considers Taiwan a part of its territory and has not ruled out the use of force to achieve reunification, while Taiwan maintains that its future should be determined by its own people.
Analysts view the repeated deployment of aircraft, warships, and coast guard vessels near Taiwan as part of China's broader strategy to assert its claims and increase pressure on Taipei. Taiwan has continued to strengthen its defence preparedness and seek support from international partners in response to the growing military activity.
