Senior IPS officer Jag Mohan appointed Special Director of IB

Jag Mohan, a senior officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS), was named Special Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) on Thursday. Mohan, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the 1995 Bihar cadre, is now serving as Additional Director in the IB.

A statement from the Personnel Ministry said that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet had approved Mohan’s appointment as Special Director, IB, until his superannuation on 30 June 2031. The Special Director General (DG) level has also been assigned to his other five classmates in their respective organisations.

Sandeep Khirwar and Rajesh Kumar have now been appointed as Special Deputy Generals in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF); at present, they hold the position of Additional Directors General (ADGs) in the same force.

Puneet Rastogi and Satosh Shriramaji Khandare will now hold the position of Special DG in the Border Security Force (BSF); at present, they are both serving as ADGs in the BSF.

Padmakar S Ranipse, who is the ADG of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), has been appointed as Special DG in the force.
