IndiGo flight hits pole at Srinagar airport, no injuries reported

An IndiGo flight from Navi Mumbai to Srinagar came into contact with a pole while it was being parked at Srinagar airport on Friday, causing damage to the aircraft. No passengers or crew members were injured in the incident.
Flight 6E 225 (VT-NOG) was being positioned at Bay No. 6 at around 9.02 am when it struck a pole belonging to the Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS), the Airports Authority of India (AAI) said in a statement.
All passengers and crew members were safe and no injuries were reported, the AAI said. They safely disembarked from the aircraft using manual stairs.
The AAI said the circumstances and details of the incident would be examined by the appropriate authorities as per prescribed procedures.
The exact cause of the incident will be determined after the inquiry is completed, the AAI said, adding that no conclusion about the cause could be drawn at this stage.
Airport operations were unaffected, with flight arrivals and departures continuing according to schedule, the AAI said. (with inputs from PTI)
