Greater Noida Authority clears infrastructure projects

Greater Noida Authority’s 144th board meeting approved three major decisions aimed at improving the lives of migrant industrial workers. The board cleared construction of EWS flats in Patwadi and Biraundi villages to provide safe and better housing for construction labourers and their families. Construction is targeted to begin by the end of this year after formalities are completed.

Under the UP Building and other construction workers welfare board’s transit hostel scheme, the Authority has identified 3,000 sqm plots each in EcoTech-06 and EcoTech-11. These will be transferred free of cost to the Labour Department for construction of labour hostels.

A public library will also come up in Sector Alpha One on 1,360 sqm, with a three-storey library building on 440 sqm and remaining space for parking and amenities.

The board further approved linking a 130-metre-wide road with the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and a 105-metre-wide road with the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

A foot-over-bridge in Rithori village was cleared to ease railway crossing for residents. Plot allottees received a final deadline of June 30, 2028, to complete construction and obtain completion certificates. The Authority will also provide residential facilities for an NDRF Regional Response Centre.
