Russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv injures 10

At least 10 people, including a child, were injured after Russia launched a large-scale overnight missile and drone attack on Ukraine's capital Kyiv, Ukrainian authorities said on Saturday.
According to Ukraine's State Emergency Service, explosions and fires were reported in the Solomianskyi, Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts of Kyiv following the strikes.
In the Solomianskyi district, a missile strike set ablaze a three-storey office and warehouse building, while another warehouse caught fire in the Dniprovskyi district after being hit.
Ukraine's Air Force said Russia launched 10 missiles, including six ballistic missiles, along with 121 drones during the overnight assault. Ukrainian air defence systems intercepted or electronically jammed two missiles and 111 drones, it added.
Despite the interceptions, direct hits were reported at 11 locations, involving ballistic missiles, guided air-to-surface missiles and attack drones. Debris from intercepted weapons also fell at three additional sites.
Russia's Defence Ministry said the strikes targeted Ukrainian drone production facilities in Kyiv, as well as port infrastructure in Izmail and Chornomorsk in the southern Odesa region.
Meanwhile, Moscow claimed its air defence systems destroyed 178 Ukrainian drones overnight across eight Russian regions, as well as over the Russian-occupied Crimean Peninsula and the Black and Azov seas.
The latest attacks come as fighting between Russia and Ukraine continues with intensified aerial assaults on both sides.
