Ranbir Kapoor buys land worth ₹3.31 crore in Ayodhya ahead of Ramayana role

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has purchased a land parcel in Ayodhya worth approximately ₹3.31 crore, according to a real estate firm statement released.
The actor acquired the property in a premium plotted development project called The Sarayu, developed by the House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL). The land parcel spans around 2,134 square feet and is part of a 75-acre project located on the banks of the River Sarayu.
The development includes planned amenities such as a clubhouse, lifestyle facilities, and a luxury hotel to be managed by The Leela group.
Ranbir Kapoor, who is set to portray Lord Ram in the upcoming big-budget film Ramayana, said Ayodhya holds deep cultural and historical significance and described the investment as a meaningful personal milestone.
“Ayodhya is deep rooted in our history and is a critical part of our cultural fabric. This land at The Sarayu became my gateway to ensuring this becomes a part of my legacy for my family,” the actor said, adding that the process was made seamless through a digital transaction system.
Abhinandan Lodha, chairman of HoABL, said Ayodhya is emerging as a major centre of cultural and spiritual growth and highlighted increasing investor interest in the region.
According to government estimates cited by the developer, Ayodhya has witnessed a significant surge in tourism, with footfall rising sharply in recent years following the development of the Ram temple.
