Rain Industries’ Ltd profit jumps in June quarter

Carbon and advanced materials manufacturer Rain Industries Ltd on Monday said its profit after tax jumped fourfold to Rs 341 crore in the April-June quarter, driven by price increases, favourable feedstock costs and improved product mix.

The company had reported a profit after tax of Rs 83 crore in the June quarter of 2025 and Rs 158 crore in the March quarter of 2026, a company statement said on Monday. Revenue stood at Rs 5,167 crore in the June quarter, compared to Rs 4,335 crore, registering a growth of 17.4 per cent YoY, ahead of market expectations, it said. “Growth was primarily driven by the Carbon and Advanced Materials segments, while Cement revenue remained relatively subdued,” the company said.

Carbon segment revenue increased 17.9 per cent YoY to Rs 4,021 crore, supported by stronger realisations and higher calcination volumes. Advanced Materials revenue grew 26.3 per cent YoY to Rs 1,198 crore, driven by higher volumes in chemical intermediates and resins and improving customer demand. On outlook, the company stated that it remains cautious in the September quarter amid geopolitical, logistics and commodity market volatility, while its global footprint, flexible supply chains and alternate feedstocks provide resilience.
